We’re all looking for inspiration these days and so allow me to spotlight the cultural gem that is Charlie Kaufman’s new film for Netflix ‘I’m Thinking of Ending Things.’ Admittedly it’s not for everyone, but it’s a brilliant example of next-level filmmaking and I can guarantee it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen. For any curious cinephile, the viewing experience is filled with such gobsmacking moments of originality, it will make you realize how brainwashed we are these days with such high volumes of mediocre content. This is a wacky tale spliced with superb performances and importantly, its a bona fide validation of Charlie Kaufman’s talent; pure genius intent on waking us up and shaking our bubble. And we need that.
