i liked the humor of erwin wurm’s “me, me fat, 1994 – 1997.”

i loved this clever piece of work by joao penalva, a giant black and white image and a separated installment of text that read as follows: “years later he still remembered her undone zip. how he wished he had leaned forward behind her and asked to be allowed to close it. she might have turned and thanked him. she might have asked his name.”

because ‘cornucopia, 2010’ in polyester, velvet and bronze cortesy of the ultra-talented madeleine berkhemer looks better with everything…
