shady stuff…

in keeping with the eyewear theme as a result of THIS here’s a quartet of looks for the end of the working week…bring on the week-end!

“i started my career as an intern for french vogue. some of the first people i met were helmut newton and guy bourdin, both inspiring photographers with unique, creative minds. at that time, i also had the chance to work with iconic models such as linda evangelista and christie turlington, both of whom were also a great source of inspiration.”

the makings of my mood this week in three parts…

1. new nike trainers that frankly have me running better than ever before. talk about performance!
2. revised edition of simone de beauvoir’s epic take on all that goes with possessing a female chromosome: “the second sex.”
3. because i can’t get enough of these l.a eyeworks frames. great design attracts great energy. life looks better through these lenses.

mid-week favorites…

my favorite street art image spotted spontaneously on beverly boulevard this afternoon…

eye-guy 2010: l.a eyeworks’ head honcho, beautiful brent zerger…

the only frames i’m willing to ride behind this summer: tortoiseshell beauty in effect courtesy of l.a eyeworks…

may 1st: bookmark it…

hands down the coolest woman in los angeles (with the exception of jennifer krasinski), publisher / photographer / style icon extraordinaire lisa eisner has been working on this show for the past four years. mayday alert next saturday eve…
