its on people, its on! last night was my first event for caulfield’s, the amazeballs new restaurant at the thompson hotel beverly hills. named after j.d salinger’s hero from catcher in the rye, this place is not only going to be my new local, but my new haven for creative endeavors. its where old school legends will mingle with up and coming creatives, and you can quote me on that. last night L.A queen of cool rose apodaca invited jeremy scott and arianne phillips to co-host a book signing event for her new tome on the man behind giorgio of beverly hills, fred hayman. the result? let’s just say 90210 fever is burning brightly. indeed.

note: to the idiot PR who accepted my request to photograph the event on behalf of purple diary and then threatened to throw me out three times when he saw me taking photos, you might wanna go back to bed sweetie. this site receives in excess of 30,000 hits daily and if you don’t think that’s good exposure for a client like LACMA (los angeles county museum of art) then you might need to re-think your PR integrity levels. not cool!

side note: one of my all-time favorite motto’s in effect. “first they laugh at you, then they ignore you, then you fight them, and then you win.”

this is such a sexy, strong, brilliant look and i think garance dore pulls it off better than most. there’s nothing quite like capturing the essence of the one you love, mid-way through doing what inspires them. photography fuels garance and her creative growth and doesn’t scott know it? that’s amore right there folks. work it!
