imee

one year after arriving in los angeles i still see imee as some french polynesian beauty who once upon a time would have inspired some gauguin-esque painter sometime somewhere…only now she has herself a little dog named sneaker and has swapped the limited-edition trainers for ladylike shoes. still, imee’s a rare beauty and one of my favorite girls who understands the true meaning of keeping it real in this hazy, crazy place known simply as los angeles.

impossible not to love: michelle

i just found this shot whilst searching through some old photo archives. it was taken on my final night in paris during fashion week in march. i hope to take many more of this little lady – michelle jank – later next month when i return once more to the motherland – PARIS!!!!!

beautiful losers

i witnessed the screening of beautiful losers, the long-awaited documentary by aaron rose last night in LA. i’m reserving my thoughts on it until my review is posted on V later this week and will announce the link once its up. regardless, one element rings true from this project: for anyone confused or disheartened by love and relationships need only to observe ed and deanna templeton and their dynamic of what makes a true union today. pure inspiration right there. take a leaf outta that book readers – that’s where happiness can be found. below, a cast of contributors (and the golden couple themselves).

zainab

i just wrote this article for style.com on my friend zainab’s store in hollywood. this is her standing out front. she’s a gem this woman, a total diamond in the rough and i’m really happy to support her vision of what a boutique should be all about. yeah, spread the love people, its all good!
