jean pigozzi quote…

limoland’s jean pigozzi scored a profile in this month’s vanity fair issue penned by former interview magazine editor-in-chief, ingrid sischy. the profile leaves a lot to be desired; but the following quote from pigozzi floats my boat in a rather fantastic way.

“a lot of these girls have a goal in life to find a rich guy. i can smell it a mile away. they come with their little kelly bag and their rolex and the louboutin shoes. shove off!”

*side note: i snapped this photo below last year in france, its the view from pigozzi’s room in st tropez’s hotel ermitage.

MJ & bubbles (up close)…

witnessing the famed ceramic piece created by contemporary art legend jeff koons in san francisco over the wkend was somewhat awe-inspiring. who knew the back of MJ’s hair would be streaked so perfectly? and what about the flowers, and the hands, and the shoes? brilliant! now i’m ultra-keen to see ciccolina with the pink panther!!

r.i.p jill clayburgh…

lady clayburgh is now in heaven :(
i grew up watching ‘silver streak’ on VHS in australia and only recently discovered ‘an unmarried woman’ but there’s no doubt about it, jill clayburgh was truly one of the great icons of 70s cinema. she will be missed.

there’s the love…

i really loved the look of this couple spotted at the MOMA in san francisco yesterday afternoon. over the course of a few hours i observed them exchanging viewpoints and opinions on photography, sculpture, graphic design and more, even their body language had a certain synchronicity to it. as i headed towards the exit i saw them taking a break in between exhibits and am so glad i went ahead and snuck up behind them to take this shot! its an epic memory for me of what truly constitutes a wonderful companionship (not to mention those wild color combo’s). gotta love SF!!
