recommended viewing: ‘interiors’ dir: woody allen (1978)

a definite must-see. interesting woody allen’s first dramatic foray into hollywood paid off big time in 1978 when this film was released. from maureen stapleton’s epic performance (wait for it – upon visiting australia she describes down under as “dead, like a morgue”) to joel schumacher’s lacklustre palette as costume designer (yes, that’s joel schumacher the director of ‘st. elmo’s fire’ and ‘the lost boys’) remember folks, this is a drama but stick with it and you’ll be glad. dynamo performances by diane keaton, geraldine page (not surprisingly).

remembering helen gurley brown…

if you don’t know about her theories on men, single life for ladies and making it in this world then i encourage you to learn by following THIS link. file under: guaranteed inspiration. that said, i know what i’ll be reading poolside on my holiday to bali next week, and just imagine what sort of vacation antics that’s going to provoke (read: fun times ahead).
