‘on beauty’ exhibit in los angeles…

yesterday i finally got around to seeing a show that had been sparking my curiosity ever since it opened several months ago. needless to say, ON BEAUTY at the annenberg center for photography in los angeles didn’t disappoint. if you’re in the city of angels you have until november 27th to see it. its mindboggling in countless ways: from america’s obsessive perception of what beauty is, to the various ways in which the myths associated with it continue to evolve. special shout-outs to albert watson and tyen for the incredible photography. nuff said..go see it. recommended viewing.

next project: CAULFIELD’S…

i’m currently busting my chops on a new project which i’m totally passionate about. last month i jumped ship from working with the standard hotels and now am working with the thompson hotel in beverly hills as their culture director. phase one of my role starts this week with the soon-to-be open CAULFIELD’S restaurant (named after j.d salinger’s hero from ‘catcher in the rye’, holden caulfield). interestingly, the news made it to this week’s issue of the hollywood reporter…like the motto goes: “we’re here for a good time not a long time.”
