yet another reason why the french supersede most when it comes to advertising…

leave it to french accessory brand andre to come up with a cunning, ultra-creative campaign for its fall/winter line of footwear. marketed for the masses, its the french version of spendless shoes and this season they’re not only re-inforcing the “sex sells” viewpoint, they’re also taking the godard-ish “nouvelle vague” tip one step further by casting anna karina-type beauties and opting for the “less is more” approach…angora sweaters and minimalist, ikea-like bedding included. j’adore!

divine times starring alice englert…

from october’s vogue italia don’t miss the stellar shooting by bruce weber starring a rather delovely young lady named alice englert, who just so happens to the be the ever-alluring offspring of n.z director jane campion. keep an eye out for more of englert as something tells me she’s going to be breaking some serious artistic boundaries…what a face!!
