wkend viewing…

can we agree that madonna’s flick isn’t that bad after all? i’d go another few rounds in refining the script but let’s throw madge a bone, shall we? the costumes are epic – arianne phillips, naturally – and i particularly loved andrea riseborough in the role of wallis simpson. basically we all know the love story here: the man who gave up the throne for the woman he loved but what about what the woman gave up? i wouldn’t rush to see this but i definitely wouldn’t discount it and importantly, i’ll go another W.E viewing over ‘my week with marilyn’ any day.

um, can we start with viggo mortensen and how incomparably hot this man is? thumbs up for cronenberg and his savvy cast comprising michael fassbender and keira knightley, she who runs the gamut between sigmund freud and carl jung in the most psychologically-disturbing of ways.

because we heart woody & PBS…
